25+ years of experience in network engineering; Joined CENIC in 2009 and worked upgrading connectivity from 1G to 100G prior to taking over optical design; member of the senior engineering team operating the Pacific Wave International Exchange; Prior to CENIC, was part of the team responsible for connecting commercial and R&E institutions in Tunisia to the Internet and worked as Director of Network Engineering at a major US ISP.
